Dr. Charles Stedman Abercrombie died in St. Petersburg, Hillsborough County, Florida, at the home of his only son, Dr. John Baynton Abercrombie, on the 5th of August, 1886, aged eighty two years, buried Laurel Hill (actually they were interred at Elmwood Cemetery) Memphis Tenn in the family lot.
