Joseph Wayne Kirby, 53, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home in Florence after fighting a long battle with ALS. Visitation will be Sunday, December 21 from 5-7PM with a Rosary at 6:45PM and Monday, December 22 from 10-10:45AM at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pearl with a Funeral Mass following at 11AM. Burial will be at Lakewood.

Mr. Kirby was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He served in the Marine Corps for 4 years and was a fan of the Braves, Saints and Ole Miss.

Mr. Kirby is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Kirby, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Katie Kirby; brothers, Ralph (Brenda) Kirby, Jr. of Richland and David Kirby of Olympia, WA; sisters, Patti (Chuck) White of Pensacola, FL, Theresa (Jim) Owens, Christine (Ken) Hughes and Stacy (Lee) VanLandingham all of Florence; 17 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
