Provided by Linda Peloquin July 25, 2017Marie-Catherine is the daughter of Pierre Rivet and Marie Sorgeaut. He was born in about 1644 and baptized in St-Mars-de-Etampes. She came to Quebec as a Filles du Roy on the ship "Le St-Jean-Baptiste de Dieppe", arriving on 18 June 1665.

She married Pierre Duchene dit Lapierre on 7 January 1777, in Quebec. THey are the parents of the following (verified with PRDH):
