Paul Sherwood Booth died in Houston on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at the age of 79. He was a native of Folsom, Louisiana, and lived for many years in West Africa, Saudi Arabia and London before retiring to Houston. He will be buried with military honors on Friday, December 19, 2014, in the Houston National Cemetery. Mr. Booth was the husband of Mary Lynn Bain Booth and the father of Jeanne Booth Steudlein (David), of New Orleans; Robert Booth (Cheryl) of LaPorte, Texas, and Emily Booth, of New Orleans. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Meghan Nalley Cuccia, Matthew Nalley and Anna Nalley; two great-granddaughters, Madison and Mackenzie Cuccia; and two sisters, Norma B. Jenkins and Vera B. Hardman. He was preceded in death by his parents Preston and Bessie McKee Booth; sisters, Rie B. Miller and Betty Booth; and brothers, Alton Booth, Lawrence Booth, Otto Booth and George Booth. Mr. Booth served as a paratrooper in the U. S. Army and was a long-time employee of Brown & Root, where he managed several highway and bridge projects, and later with Geosource as a project manager in the oil services industry. After moving to Houston he worked as a consultant until his retirement.
