Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at the Olson Funeral Home in Fairmont and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born on November 16, 1951, the son of Eldon and Doris (Welfare) Bonnicksen in Long Beach, Calif. At an early age he moved with his family to Estherville where he received his education, graduating from Estherville High School in 1970. He then attended Jackson Vocational Technical School in Jackson, Minn.
On July 27, 1974, he was united in marriage to Deanna (Dee) Larson at St. John's United Church of Christ in Fairmont. After their marriage, the couple moved to Spirit Lake and later to Estherville where they lived for four years. He worked for Armin Plastics in Fairmont for many years.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna (Dee) of Fairmont, one son, Brandon of Fairmont and two daughters, Heather and Dawn Bonnicksen of Albert Lee, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
