The building is no longer there. In the early years, the family lived above the tining store, but later moved to 1229 New Jersey Avenue, N.W. In the 1870 census, the 34 year olf William reported holdings of $10,000, a wife, four children, and Bridget and Mary Kennedy who were 18 and 13 respectively (possibly servants). William was once the largest single stockholder in the Washington Senators baseball team.He sold his shares to Clark Griffiths, enabling Griffiths to control the franchise.
