Kenneth L. Southern, 73, of Lafayette passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth East.

He was born June 14, 1941, in Lafayette to the late Otis Southern and Eileen Oswalt Southern Newton. Kenneth graduated from Southwestern High School and on September 21, 1963 he married Sharon Ann Sosbe in Lafayette and she survives.

Kenneth worked as a pressman for R R Donnelley for 42 years and is retired. He was a member of the First Church of God and enjoyed riding in his golf cart and spending time with his family, friends and his two dogs Sassy and Baby.

Surviving along with his wife are his children Melody L. Davis (Daniel) of Crawfordsville, Dana L. Southern (Rita) of Romney, grandchildren Taylor Davis Norton, Alexandria Southern, Drake Davis, Landyn Southern, Ryland Southern and a great granddaughter Harmony Norton. Also surviving are his sisters sisters Helen House (Gary) of MI and Linda Fields of Lafayette. Kenny was preceded in death by a brother Richard Southern.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor Tami Musshe officiating. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
