CHARLENE M. MORRIS, 68, of Loudonville, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, December 17, 2014 at her mother's home in rural Perrysville.
Charlene was born November 10, 1946 in Mt. Vernon and was the daughter of Royal G. and Kathyleen (Hall) Oswalt. She was a 1964 graduate of Loudonville High School and had lived in the Loudonville area most of her life. She was a member of the Loudonville Church of the Nazarene, the Loudonville Church Women where she was the manager of The Store. Charlene loved making jewelry and shopping on E-Bay.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Morris, whom she married February 24, 1964; 2 sons: Brian Morris and Bill (Sharon) Morris, all of Loudonville; 6 grandchildren: Brandi (Clint) Sponseller, Nathen (Libby) Morris, Sasha (Jeremy) Brown, Samantha Morris, Mike Herron, and Alex Herron; 5 great-grandchildren: Kabrin and Jaxden Brown, Jaden and Pria Sponseller, and Carmen Herron; her mother: Kathyleen Franks of Perrysville; 1 brother: Myron (Pat) Oswalt of Loudonville; a brother-in-law: Bob (Joyce) Morris of Howard; a sister-in-law: Rita (Dave) Pence of Jeromesville; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets: Moe and Elvis, the dogs; Sammy, the parakeet; and Simba, her cat.
She was preceded in death by her father, her step-father who raised her, Cecil Franks; and her brother: Doug Oswalt.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Loudonville Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Allan Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Loudonville Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, and one hour prior to services at Church on Saturday.
