Clara Carver Christensen, 100, passed away May 28, 2017 in Soda Springs, ID.
Clara was born June 22, 1916 in Treasureton, ID, daughter of George Delos Carver and Sarah Jane Barnes Carver. She was educated in Preston and Grace schools. She married Orval Jorgensen Christensen October 4, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Orval passed away February 14, 2000.
Clara has lived in Treasureton and Grace, ID, also spending 8 winters in Mesa, AZ.
Clara loved to crochet and made beautiful doilies and edges on handkerchiefs. She quilted and loved flowers and gardening. She helped on the farm and was a marvelous cook.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served as Relief Society President, Sunday School Teacher and in the Stake Relief Society.
She is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter: Boyd J. (Sharon) Colorado Springs, CO; Dwain K. (Linda) Grace; Glade (DeeAnn) Millville, UT; Ardene (Cardel) Wright, Providence, UT; and 21 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 grandson, and 1 granddaughter . Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 3 at 12 noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will meet friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs and prior to services on Saturday at the Church from 10-11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Central Cemetery.
