GASTONIA, N.C. — Charles Alexander Bailey, age 76, passed away on Monday December 15,2014 in Gastonia, N.C. He was born on March 26, 1938 to the late Cletus E. and Lora Jane (Duncan) Bailey in Goodwill West Virginia.
Charles (Chill) is survived by 4 children, Lora Kellogg, Elkhart, Indiana; Charles (Faye) Bailey, Elkhart, Indiana (Charles was adopted by Cletus Bailey Jr., and Juanita Bailey at the age of 5); John C. (Amanda) Bailey, with whom he lived Gastonia N.C. and a daughter in Bluefield W.VA; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters Ruth Dinger, Bluefield WV; Marianne Putnam and Susie (Talley) Wills, Lakeland, Florida and a brother John N. (Helen) Bailey of Goshen Indiana; and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Harold, Leonard, Thomas Ray and Cletus E Jr.; and a sister Linda Jane Nugent Harter.
A memorial service for Charles will be held in 2015 with burial in the Bailey Cemetery (Mount Sinai), Goodwill, WV. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
