Freddie Ray Collins, 69, of Oklahoma City, died on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, losing his battle with cancer, after years of fighting. He was born on November 15, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated from Capital Hill High School. He served in the United States Air Force, and worked as a printer in the Oklahoma City area. He enjoyed playing several sports including fast pitch softball and golf. He was a big Oklahoma football fan and also enjoyed the Oklahoma City Thunder. His favorite place was Hefner Lake, where he would go to watch and feed the ducks. He was survived by his children, Brad Collins of Oklahoma City, Melody Collins of Oklahoma City, Stephanie Collins of Houston, Texas, and their sister Dena Wilcox of Moore, Oklahoma. He had nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Jerry Jerry Collins of Pennsylvania, and twin brother, Eddie Collins of Gore, Oklahoma; special friends Frank and Sally Mezler of Pennsylvania; and he enjoyed his two dogs Buddy and Littles. Preceding him in death were his parents, David and Ada Collins; and his sister, Janie Nelson. A funeral service, with military honors, at 12:00 p.m., Monday, December 22 2014, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
