MARY J BAXTER BRINK was born Dec 22, 1847 in this county and died April 28, 1888 aged 40 years, 4 months and 6 days. She was married to Frank A Brink Jan 26, 1882.


She united with the Butler ME Church two years ago and at the time of her death was an honored member of Forest Chapter No 44 Order of the Eastern Star. She has borne two children, the youngest of which preceded her in death nearly a year and one half.


A considerable portion of her life was devoted to school teaching in which avocation she met with eminent success. She was a conscientious Christian, a devoted and loving wife, a kind and indulgent mother and a good neighbor.


She leaves her husband and one child, her aged father, several sisters and brothers and a host of friends to mourn their loss. The obsequies occurred Sunday April 29 conducted by Rev A Cone.
