Funeral services for Julie L. Peacock, 43, of Buffalo Center were held Saturday morning, July 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Buffalo Center with Rev. Tony Kluender and Rev. Mike Elias officiating. Interment was in West Cemetery at Rake with Winter Funeral Home of Buffalo Center in charge of arrangements.
Cheryl Baumann was the organist and Rochelle Wickwire was the soloist. The congregation also sang. Casketbearers were Randy Tegland, Merle Aanrud, Larry Weaver, Dale Frerichs, Bob Frerichs and Mike Smith.
Julie L. Peacock, daughter of Donald and Lila (Monson) Gill, was born August 21, 1949 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1967.
Julie was a clerk at Casey's General Store, Buffalo Center, for several years. She enjoyed reading and was a loving wife and mother who dearly cared for her family. Julie passed away Wednesday, June 30, 1993 at Rochester, Minnesota after a five month battle with leukemia.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Gary of Buffalo Center; her three children, Scott Petersen of Lake Mills, Jennifer Petersen of Forest City and Andy Peacock of Buffalo Center; one brother, Michael Gill of Rake, and one sister, Joslyn Miller of Twin Falls, Idaho. Julie is also survived by her mother-in-law, Gloria Shaffer of Twin Falls, Idaho; an uncle, Orval Monson of Rake; an aunt, Mildred Halvorson of Oskaloosa, and by one niece, Kari Miller of Twin Falls, Idaho.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Lila Gill in 1984.
