Dianne Delores Hughes Jackson was called home on Saturday, December 13, 2014 by our Lord and Savior. Dianne, also known as Dee Dee, was born on April 16, 1952 to Mabel Massie Hughes and the late Thomas Allen Hughes Jr. in Lynchburg Virginia.
In addition to her father Thomas Allen Hughes Jr. she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Allen Hughes III.
Dianne is survived by her three loving children, Dermaine (Nykisha), Dalena, and Deandra; grandson, Devan; her mother Mabel Hughes; brothers, Charles (Octavia), Larry (Debbie), Edward (Leigh) Hughes and Sam Diggs; a sister Brenda (Bobby) Hudson along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and dedicated friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 Am Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Peter Baptist Church, Clifton with Rev. Jasper Fletcher, Pastor, officiating and Rev. Leonard Massie, as eulogist. The interment will be in church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8 PM at Davis-Turner Funeral Service. At the request of the family please wear bright colors.
