Mrs. Emily L. Walker, 82, of Ocala, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Ocala Oaks Rehabilitation Center. A native of Atlanta, GA, she and her family moved to Ocala almost 50 years ago, coming here from Jacksonville, FL. She retired from the City of Ocala Electric Utilities where she worked for 14 years as a secretary. She will always be remembered for her great love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and someone who was always there for anyone who needed help.
Her survivors include her daughters Freda Hunter and Susan Walker, her son Steven Walker, her 8 grandchildren, Clint Smith and Lana Lutz, Michelle Hall, James Hunter and Noelle Cote, Nikki Hunter and Emily Keller, and Steven C. Walker and 3 great grandchildren, Jacob, Hailie, and Caden. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Calvin Walker. Graveside services for Mrs. Walker will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, December 22, 2014, at Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd St., with Pastor Jeff Wade officiating. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, is handling arrangements.
