KEARNEY — Devin L. King, 28, of Kearney died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Fellowship Church in Kearney with the Rev. Mitch Ivey officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Box Elder Cemetery north of Cumro. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of the arrangements.
Devin was born July 3, 1986, to Randall and Susan (Johnson) King in Kearney. Devin grew up on a farm north of Kearney with his parents and three older brothers. Devin enjoyed music, playing video games, helicopters, diesel engines, bowling and, above all, the dishwasher.
Devin attended school in Kearney and more recently was the vice president of the AKtion Club. He played several sports in the Special Olympics and was also a Kearney Inclusive Recreation Project athlete. Devin spent most of his time at Donna’s Front Porch repairing computers and washing the dishes. Devin loved to get his picture taken and looking at pictures of others. His unconditional love for others will always be remembered. His pride and joy were his two nieces.
Devin is survived by his parents, Randy and Susan King of Kearney; brothers, Lynn King and wife Joanna of Tualatin, Ore., Scott King and wife Angela of Kearney and Todd King and wife Natalie of Mason City; nieces, Moriah and Addison King; girlfriend, Hannah Mercer of Kearney; and many friends.
Devin was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles and one cousin, Brett Kramer.
