Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in LaGrone Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Gilliland officiating. Masonic rites will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruidoso.
Mr. Crossland was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Fort Worth, Texas, and grew up in Plainview, Texas, where began a career that lasted for more than 40 years with Mobil Oil. He moved to Ruidoso in 1985 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a Shriner and a member of First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Sara Crossland and Minitte Crossland; a son, Robbie Crossland; and a grandson, Clint Crossland.
Survivors include his wife, Martha, of Ruidoso; a daughter, Patricia Schmidt of Dumas, Texas; a brother, James Crossland of Plainview; five grandchildren, Candice Babcock, Debby Cotter, Bill Toliver, Pam Cox and Heath Crossland; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two stepdaughters, Janet DeLoache and Elizabeth Graves.
The family suggests memorials be to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
