Meeks, Marjorie Life is a tapestry of memories. Marjorie Meeks finished her glorious tapestry June 7th, 2011. Marjorie was born December 18th, 1924 in Abbeville, Louisiana to Hardy and Rena Staggs. She grew up in Port Arthur, Texas; and attended the University of North Texas as a piano performance major. She married William Bruce Meeks on August 11th, 1943; while he was an Air Force private in WWII. She danced, cooked, played bridge, traveled, and lived the fullest of lives. She was preceded in death by her child Jeanne Meeks; and, her husband Bill. She is survived by her children, Anita and Dennis Meeks (Find-A-Grave Memorial #139530272); her grandchildren Brandon, Casey, Dennis, Devon, Megan, Todd; and, her great grandchildren Arabella, Christopher, Gage, Gavin, Kaylee and Lillie. Her neighbors are and were her extended family. She will be loved and missed by all. Services will be held this Friday, 11:00 A.M., at All Saints Catholic Church.
