Brett of Simpsonville, SC, was killed in a single car accident that also killed two of his friends. The three Citadel cadets were enroute to Florida to attend the Citadel vs. FSU football game. All three were sophomore business administration majors from Simpsonville, S.C. Brett was born to Reggie Dale and Holly Ann Williams Warren and was a sophomore in the Corps of Cadets at the Citadel. He was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church and Trinity United Methodist Church. He was predeceased by a grandfather, Bob Warren and a grandmother, Louise Williams. The Citadel Honor Guard provided military honors. He was 19.

The tire blowout caused the driver to lose control of the Mitsubishi SUV about 10 a.m. Brett Mitchell Warren, 19, and Clark Gilbert Russell, 18(14507789)were killed, school spokeswoman Charlene Gunnells said.

Blake Alexander Campbell, 19(14013792)was in critical condition, Gunnells said.
