Funeral To-day of Toronto Man Who was Killed in the North-West
The remains of the late Mr. W. H. Weston arrived yesterday from Edmonton, Alta, and were interred this afternoon in Mount Pleasant Cemetery from the residence of his widow, Mrs. Jane Weston of Ann Street. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. V. Smith.
Mr Weston met his death by a very peculiar accident. He was driving a horse and buggy along one of the prairie roads, when suddenly one of the wheels of his vehicle sank into a badger hole. Mr. Weston was thrown violently from the buggy, with the result that his back was broken. His whole body was paralyzed, but he retained consciousness until he died 40 hours later.
The manager of the Model Bakery, Mr. George Weston, is a brother.
