Henry Davis, 98, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Kevin Deckard, associate pastor of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Henry was born Dec. 11, 1916, in Weatherford to Alva and Addie Davis. He grew up in New Deal and graduated from West Texas State University in 1942. Henry was an avid WT booster and fan of all sports at the university. He was a longtime member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. Henry enjoyed fishing in Colorado and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary Estella Davis, in 1960.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Ann Davis; a son, Craig Stephen Davis of Lewisville; two daughters, Nita Ruth Davis of Throckmorton, Colo., and Shelly Sue Davis Hamlett of Dallas; five grandchildren, Stephen and Christopher Davis and Allan, Lauren, and Alex Hamlett; and a great-grandchild, Christopher Davis
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
