Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Martha Jones Lamb, age 83, of Swainsboro, GA on Tuesday, December 15, 2014 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, GA.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Sumner officiating, assisted by Rev. Timothy Lamb.
Interment will follow in the Sardis Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening form 5-7 PM.
Pallbearers are family members.
Mrs. Lamb was born in Norristown, Emanuel County, GA, retired from Swainsboro Sportswear and was a member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt M. Lamb and parents, Raiford and Georgia Bell Foskey.
Survivors include:
One Son: Michael Lamb (Donna) of Douglas, GA
Two Grandchildren: Travis Lamb (Mary) and Phillip Lamb (Keri)
Three Great-Grandchildren: Riley Lamb, Parker Lamb, Carter Lamb, Savanna Williams and extended family
