##Born March 24, 1930 in Ashford, AL, Mrs. Phillips was the daughter of the late Rudolph Collins and Trudy Davis Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester “Vester” Phillips, a son, Timothy Phillips, and a brother, Carl R. Collins. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and had worked as a seamstress for Newton Manufacturing. She was a member of Newton Baptist Church.
##Survivors include a daughter, Gail P. White (Duane) of Newton; a son, Eugene “Gene” Phillips (Jeanette) of Newton; one brother, John H. Collins of Dougherty Co.; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Her dad died before she was born and later her mother remarried to Rudolph Carl Collins. She also had a son Timothy Phillips that was born in 1951 and died in 1952. He is buried in this cemetery with his mom and dad.
CAMILLA - Etta Estelle Shelly Phillips, 84, of Newton died Monday, December 15, 2014 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.
