Ruth Mancel, age 90, formerly of Two Rivers, currently a resident of Manitowoc
Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, was called home to her Lord and
Savior, on Sunday afternoon, June 28, 2009.
Ruth was born July 28, 1918, in the town of Gibson, daughter of the late John
and Rose Guse Ording. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Evangelical
Lutheran Church. On Nov. 29, 1947, she married Robert A. Mancel, in Mishicot.
He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1990. Ruth was employed at Hamilton Mfg.
and Mirro Aluminum Co. for many years. She was a long time member of St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ladies Society. After
retiring, she was a volunteer at the Two Rivers Senior Center. Ruth was a
devoted mother and grandmother who loved sewing and baking for her family and
spending time with her grandchildren.

Ruth was also preceded in death by three sisters: Ethel Hammermeister, Viola
Daetz and Hazel Havlichek.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the
Rev. David Scherbarth with burial to follow at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Two Rivers, on Wednesday morning, July 1, 2009, from 9:30 a.m. until
the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.
Memorials in Ruth's name may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church
or St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Grade School.
