Frank Tuft, 60, a former resident of this city, died at a hospital in Superior, Ariz., Wednesday after a long illness of asthma and complications.
Mr. Tuft was born in Mount Pleasant in May, 1874, a son of George and Christina Gottfredson Tuft. He received his education in the public schools of this city and also attended Wasatch Academy. As a young man he obtained employment as a miner, which work he followed during the remainder of his life.
He was unmarried, but is survived by a brother, James Tuft, Butte, Mont., and six sisters, Mrs. A. M. Windemar and Mrs. J. A. Matson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. T. C. Candland and Mrs. Arthur Jensen, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Earle R. Sorensen, Logan, and Mrs. O. L. Hansen, Ephraim.
