Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2014, Vardaman Street Baptist Church with burial to follow in Little Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., December 18, 2014 at Vardaman Street Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cheria Dixon, 64, died December 13, 2014 at Singing River Hospital.
She was married to Horace Dixon. They met in July of 1970 and were married October 10, 1970 and together they made their home in Perkinston, Mississippi, George County.
She was a very active member of Little Creek Baptist Church.
She leaves behind four children, Raymond Armstrong (Brian) of Arizona, Wanda Brown of Perkinston, Amanda Parker (Ronnie) of Perkinston and Heath Dixon (Crystal) of Perkinston; five grandchildren, Ashtin, Michayla, Tyler, Anna and Julia.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by her father, Robert Rhodes of Bay Springs; her brothers, Haskell Rhodes of Bay Springs, Steve Rhodes of Perkinston and Wayne Rhodes of Bay Springs. Together they had numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Dixon; her mother, Betty Flurry Rhodes.
