Mae Knight Presque Isle 95. Wife of the late Raymond Knight, died 3-6-2001 at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born 5-16-1905 in Mapleton the daughter of James and Myrtle (Ervin) Haslam.
She was a member of Grant Memorial United Methodist Church. She had been employed at Wilkins Clothing Store in Presque Isle for 38 years. She was a member of Lunar Chapter No. 126 OES, a member and past noble of Aroostook Rebekah Lodge and the Noble Grand Club. She is survived by a step daughter, Marjorie Morehouse of Augusta, 2 step grandchildren, Tammy Walton of Presque Isle and Jana Morehouse of Windsor, a step great grandson, Scott Walton, several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew and niece, Jim Steempliski and his wife, Anne of Massachusetts and Sharon Mullen and her husband, Paul of Indiana. She will be remembered by 2 special friends, Burt and Brenda Brown of Presque Isle. Burial Fairmount cemetery.
