Kathleen Otera Hampton 1927—2014
Kathleen Otera Hampton, 87 of McKenzie, died Saturday, December 13th, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, December 15th, 2014 at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Hampton was born February 4th, 1927 in Yuma, Tennessee to the late Ezra and Bertha Smith Beal. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McKenzie.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Beal and Wallace Beal.
She is survived by: her husband of 67 years, J.D. Hampton; three children, Jimmy (Brenda) Hampton of Huntingdon, Debbie (Danny) Laster of McKenzie, and Mike (JoAnna) of McKenzie; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Horton, Malcolm Horton, Kyle Chapman, David Byrd, Jr., Clay Morgan, and Steven Maxwell. Visitation for Mrs. Hampton will be Sunday, December 14th, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday December 15th, 2014 starting at 11:00 am until service time.
