1935-2014

Willard Lawrence Trawick, 79, of Pace, died December 13, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born January 4, 1935 in Pensacola, Florida, he was the son of the late Effie and A.J. Trawick. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Trawick.

Willard is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Trawick, three children, Eric (Sungya) Trawick, Ramona (Don) Harris, Cheryl (Sam) Laster, a stepson, Darren Hohaus, a brother, Bernard Trawick, and a sister, Veneda Cayson, all of Pensacola. He was the beloved grandfather to seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Willard will forever be in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Willard served in the military from 1952-1965, then became employed with Mason and Dulion until 1983. He began working for Southern Erectors in 1983 and retired in 2000.

He will be remembered for his enjoyment of fishing, as well as hunting in his younger years, sharing his sailor stories and stories about life abroad, while serving in the armed forces, and for his love of classical music.

All Services will be at Bellview Baptist Church, 4750 Saufley Field Road, Pensacola, with Larry Trawick officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 18th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and funeral will be Friday, December, 19th at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Samuel Laster, Alan Trawick, Troy Fletcher, Greg Cole, Eugene Alfred, Barry Pedigo.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ramon Phelps and Devin Sherman.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Thomas Messe, Dr. Shailesh Patel and staff, and Emerald Coast Hospice.
