Emily Riley age 19, of Abilene died on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Carris Family Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be Friday, December 5, 2014 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Carris Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Memorials may be given to family and may be left at the Funeral Home.
Emily Nicole Riley was born on June 23, 1995 in Clarion, IA to Larry Dean and Susan Carol (Saunders) Riley. She graduated from High School in Abilene, KS with the class of 2013. She joined the United States Air Force and graduated from Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. She was studying to be an Aerospace Medical Technician at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX.
Emily lived life to the fullest. Her activities encompassed being in the great outdoors, traveling, family vacations, fishing, camping, exploring, riding the fastest rides at amusement parks, a great love for animals and her Jeep. Because of her affection for amusement parks, her favorite summer job was at Adventureland Amusement Park in Altoona, IA. She loved music and attending various concerts. Watching sports was also one of her favorite things to do, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. All of these activities were made more fun when she could do them with her family and friends.
Emily was preceded in death by grandmother, Penny Dooley and grandfather, Larry Riley Sr.
