Patrick Hugh Owens passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2014 due to complications related to the progression of Alzheimer's Disease. Born in Newark, NJ. he was one of five children to Hugh and Marjorie Owens. Pat received his B.A. in history from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his MBA from Pace University. He joined Price Waterhouse's New York office, and later served as Vice President - Accounting and SEC Reporting at The CIT Group in Livingston, NJ. In 1996, he and his wife, Donna, moved to Raleigh to purchase Equitable Credit, of which Pat was President. They relocated to Wilmington in 2013. In addition to his wife of 31 years, Pat is survived by two sons, Matthew, of New York City, and Andrew, of Rochester, NY. Visitation will be held at 10:00 on Friday, December 19, with a funeral service at 11:00, with the Rev. Dr. Ernie Thompson officiating. Both will be held at Andrews Mortuary, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington. Interment will follow at Sea Lawn Memorial Park in Hampstead.
