DeBoer, Virginia R. Mattawan Passed away Saturday morning, November 15, 2014. Virginia was born January 19, 1923 in Ray, IN the daughter of Frank and Hattie (McElroy) Dunnavan. She loved spending time with her family; her dogs, and traveling. On October 15, 1939 she was united in marriage to her loving husband of over 55 years, Gerald DeBoer, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Jean Stecker; and grandson Timothy. She is survived by her children, Virginia McKinney, Sharon DeMott, Gerald (Kathy) DeBoer; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, November 21, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre with Rev. Gerald Longjohn officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Texas Township. Friends may meet the family Thursday evening, November 20, from 6-8pm at the Portage Chapel.
