Roy Lee Lambert, 76, of Brookfield, passed away at home on December 12, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday December 15, 2014 at Rhodes Funeral Home with Brother Gail Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Sunday December 14, 2014 at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Roy Lee, son of Joseph and Myrtle Levell Lambert was born on April 16, 1938 at Marceline. On February 28, 1964 he was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Pamperl at Brookfield.
Roy was a veteran of the United States Army, worked at Ag Land and Smith Motor Company, enjoyed fishing and hunting, was a member of the Tangle Foot Squares, and enjoyed square dancing with his wife Sharon.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; son Jeff and wife Debbie Lambert, Chula; daughter Rhonda and partner Fred Brandeberry, Macon; niece Debbie and husband Richard Mauzey and their children, Matthew and Adam, Mendon; grandchildren, Jordan, Jay, Cole, Taylor and Brooklyn; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Harold McCollum; sisters, Mary Rusher and Betty Hillenburg; brother, Jesse Lambert.
