Jane Burns Pierson , 88, of 80 Cedar Street, Branford formerly of Totoket Road, Northford passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Hamden Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late John L. Pierson . Born in Waterloo, NY on October 2, 1921; daughter of the late Lawrence and Ella Kirk Burns. She had worked as an Administration Assistant to the Director of the Research & Development Department at Olin Matheson until her retirement in 1980. Jane was a member of and held various offices at the V.F.W. Ladies Auxilliary and the American Legion in New York; she was also a former member of the Northford Women's Club. Jane was a parishioner of St. Monica's Church and a member of its Rosary Society.
Her Funeral Procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Tuesday morning at 9:30. Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 am Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Monica's Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
