Arthur married Judith (Fowler) on 19 August 1961 in Lodi, San Joaquin County, California. Together they had two daughters and two sons.
Carpenter, Arthur 'Art' 82 April 29, 1932 Nov. 26, 2014 Art made his final journey home Nov. 26, 2014. He was a very kind, compassionate, caring and funny man. He always liked to help others if he was able. Art will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him. He is survived by his children, Kelly Williams, Robert Carpenter, Stacey Phillips and Jason Carpenter; sister, June Eastman; aunt, Norma Houghton; and many more family and friends who knew and loved him. His passing was peaceful, his absence is painful, his everlasting life is joyful and the reunion yet to come is hopeful. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, 1838 S.W. Jefferson St., Portland, OR 97201.
