Daniel Joe Aaron, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Wesley Manor, Frankfort, IN. Born June 18, 1936 in Kokomo, son of the late William Aaron and Helen (Deweese) Aaron. On September 1, 1961 in Santa Fe Springs, CA, he married Helen Lee Smith. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2008.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War.
employed with General Motors for 20 years; first at Delco Electronics, then Fisher Body in Marion, Indiana, retiring in 1998.
member of U.A.W. Local #292. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, the Pacers, and Indianapolis Colts. He especially was a fan of his grandchildren and enjoyed going to their ballgames.
Survivors include one son Greg ( Tina) Aaron of
one daughter Danelle (Jay) Pingleton of Kokomo; four brothers Carl Aaron, Tom (Carol) Aaron, James (Barbara) Aaron and Norman Aaron all of Kokomo; two sisters Elma Rose “Tootie” Harner of Kokomo and June Kay Hobbs of Kentucky; one sister-in-law Ruth Aaron of Russiaville; one special aunt Barbara Langford of California; grandchildren Holly (Patrick) Williamson, Autumn Greenwood, Jaden Pingleton, Hannah Aaron, Caleb Aaron, Noah Aaron, and Hope Aaron; great grandchildren Greyson Williamson, Brennon Williamson, and Kyan Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers William Aaron Jr., Larry Aaron, and an infant brother at birth; one sister Imagene “Sis” Bogue.
