Gwendolyn Lorraine Wells of Coatesville
Gwendolyn Lorraine Wells, 90, of Coatesville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at Pocopson Home, West Chester.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Clara McWilliams Levenite and the wife of the late William W. Wells, Sr. who died in 1973.
Gwen was a 1942 graduate of S. Horace Scott Senior High School. She was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Coatesville. Gwen retired from Downingtown School District after over 20 years of service in the Cafeteria. Gwen liked going out to dinner and shopping. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Gwen is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. Leonard of Downingtown and her son, William W. Wells, Jr. of Coatesville; three grandchildren: Danielle Zurita and her husband Uriel of Coatesville, Ronald Leonard and his wife Jen of Honey Brook, and Dianna Anderson and her husband Donal of West Chester; six great-grandchildren: Nathan Leonard, Gabrielle, Arrielle, and Isabelle Zurita, and Xavier and Athena Anderson; one great-great granddaughter, Camila Lorraine Zurita; and one brother Robert Levenite of Coatesville. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Harold Levenite.
Gwen's funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Wentz Funeral Home, 342 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville where family and friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
