On July 1871 Ellen became the second wife of Mighill Dustin Adams. Mighill was born in 1838 in Ohio, son of Elijah Adams and Arminda Tombison. He died January 26, 1883 in Vernon County, Wisconsin, aged about 45 years, and was buried there in the Viroqua Cemetery, Viroqua, Wisconsin, probably besides the remains of his first wife Catherine F. (Wolf) Adams. Their three children were: Sarah Francis, b. 24 Jul 1872; Elijah Wilford, b. 6 Nov 1874; & Charles Wesley Adams, b. 26 Jul 1880.
On November 15, 1890 Ellen married Elijah Sardine Alderman in Dell, Wisconsin. Elijah was born April 12, 1830 in Morgan County, Ohio, died June 12, 1899, aged 69 years, 1 month and 30 days, and was buried in the Dell Cemetery. No children.
