On Dec. 11, 2014, at 100 years of age, Nancy Virginia Webb Bass, a longtime resident of Panama City, FL passed peacefully to be with her Maker. She was born on July 29, 1914 to Hugh Inman and Mary Virginia (Crozier) Webb in Blakely, Ga.

Nancy Virginia had been a longtime resident of Panama City since the 1920s. She was a graduate of Bay County High School in the class of 1932, a faithful and life-long member of the United Methodist Church, a long-standing member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a founding member of the Junior Women's Club.

She married Robert Harper Bass at her mother's home on Grace Avenue on April 11, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1990.

She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Virginia Phares and Barbara Bass Snead; grandchildren, Mary Virginia Watson, Robert Gaston Phares, and Robert Harper Lanton; great-grandchildren, Trevor Watson, Nancy Virginia Watson and Lana Morgan Watson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 in the chapel at First United Methodist Church of Panama City with the Reverend Steve Rascoe officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Shaddai Transportation Fund.
