Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12 at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at the funeral home. Rev. Barry Somerville, pastor of the Finger Lakes Baptist Church will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1595 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14620.
Victor was born Feb. 14, 1945 in Norwich, the son of Arthur G. and Florence A. Follett Moore. He was a 1964 graduate of the University of Dayton with an AAS degree in electrical engineering. Victor married his high school sweetheart, Sandy Wood, in December of 1964. While Victor and Sandy made their home in California, he was employed with PG&E, Shell Chemical and Shell Oil Company.
Returning to New York State in 1967, Victor was employed with NYSEG in Elmira, Binghamton (Corporate Office), then the Geneva and Auburn Divisions, retiring in 2003 after 36 years of employment. One of Victor's favorite pastimes was woodworking. He was an active member of the Finger Lakes Baptist Church, serving as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra Moore; son, David (Julie) Moore, of Fort Plain, N.Y.; daughters, Clarissa (Kenny) Dearth, of Middlefield, Ohio, and Lisa (Don) Fortney, of Bedford, Va.; 10 grandchildren; sister, Betty Rice, of Oxford, N.Y., and many nieces and nephews.
Victor was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Larry, and Richard Moore.
