Mr. Sessions was born on October 20, 1951 in Dunn, NC to the late George Q Sessions and Catherine Young Sessions.
George grew up in Williston, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1974 where he played trumpet in the Carolina Band. He was a loyal Gamecock his entire life and rarely missed a home football game. His love of music led him to the love of his life, Denna. They were married in 1987 and shared a relationship that grew stronger with each year. They loved traveling, especially cruising, and sailed over 30 cruises to the Caribbean and one to Alaska. George was also an avid birder and never left the house without his binoculars and field guide. He had a 33 year career with the SC Dept of Vocational Rehabilitation in Aiken, SC. Upon his retirement in 2008, he and Denna relocated to St. Helena Island, SC. His enthusiasm for life won him many friends and he loved spending time with them and his family. Everyone who knew him will always remember him for his easy manner and his "George-isms". He will be greatly missed.
