Phillip Eugene Pierce, Sr.

SANTA FE —Phillip Eugene Pierce, Sr. age 79 of Santa Fe passed away, Friday, March 21, 2014 at his residence in Santa Fe with his loving wife at his side. Memorial services are 3:00pm Friday, March 28, 2014 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.

Born November 30, 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida to George Edward Pierce, Sr. and Luewella Mae Burton Pierce, Phil was an Advertising Executive in the Radio and TV Industries for over 20 years. He was a U.S. Army-Air Corp Veteran serving in Korea and was previously employed offshore in the Petroleum Field. He enjoyed fishing, reading and his favorite was cooking which he did at the Elk’s Lodge in Galveston many times.

Preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth Ann Pierce.

Survivors include, wife of 36 years, Lois Crystelle Senna “Cryss” Pierce of Santa Fe; son, James Francis Scharbach of Galveston ; grandson, Kodie Wayne Scharbach of Galveston; nieces, Bethany Clayton, Hannah Senna, Katherine Ford and Mayemarie Darring; nephew, Jonathan Senna and numerous friends at the Elk’s Lodge # 126.

The family would like to thank AMED Hospice, with special thanks to Stacey Villarreal.
