GALVESTON — Leon “Bugs” Phillip was born on the island of Trinidad & Tobago on April 3, 1950. He passed away on March 19, 2014 at his residence in Galveston TX. Leon loved his music and his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leo Phillip, siblings, Wayne Phillip, and Glenda Gibbs.
He is survived by mother, Denise Phillip, brothers, John (Esla) Phillip, Clifford Phillip, Errol Phillip and sisters, Marva Phillip, Fidelia Jacqueline Cummings, Victoria (Lennox) Howell, Mary (Kirth) Phillip, good friends Marsha, Benito, Robert (TAC), Lowa, Richard Wright, the Trini Posse and a host of nieces, nephews who loved him and will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at Wynn Funeral Home 602 32nd Street Galveston, Texas 77550 on Friday March 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
