Amy Mitchell July 4, 1981 - Dec. 6, 2014 SOUTH BEND - The life of Amy Lynn (Parker) Mitchell ended suddenly on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Memorial Hospital at the age of 33. Amy's life began in South Bend, Indiana, on July 4, 1981, when she was born to Robert and Mildred (Foster) Parker. Amy received an Associate Degree from Brown Mackie College and continued her education at Michiana Beauty College and received her cosmetologist license. For three years she was employed by New Image Salon and one year ago opened her own business, Salon Therapy. She loved doing hair. She also loved singing and she was evidenced by her singing in the choir at Sweet Home Ministries where she was a member. She and Darryl Anthony Mitchell were married in South Bend on May 5, 2009. Survivors who remain to cherish her memory include her husband, Darryl Anthony; four daughters, Trinity Mitchell and Kailyn Parker-Love, both of South Bend, Indiana, Charlae Mitchell of Largo, Florida, and Vanessa Mitchell of Indianapolis, Indiana; one son, Darryl Anthony Mitchell, Jr., of Largo, Florida; her parents, Robert and Mildred Parker of South Bend, Indiana; two sisters, Velma Vortes of Chicago, Illinois, and Megan (Robert) Jordan of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, Christopher Wade (Velda) Foster of South Bend, Indiana; and a special niece, Rayjene Foster; along with other relatives and friends. Amy was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Parker. Memorial services will be held for Army Lynn Mitchell on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Sweet Home Ministries at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will occur one hour before the services.
