Bill E. Wright, 78, of Odessa passed away Friday, April 14, 2006, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born October 21, 1927 in Olney, Texas. He graduated from Bryson High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. Bill graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1951 with a bachelor of science degree in business. He received a master of business administration in management from UTPB in 1978.
He began working for Continental Emsco Company and retired after 41 years as senior sales representative from LTV Energy Products in Midland. After retirement he started Bill E. Wright Consulting Service and began a close association with friends at Williams Oil Company.
He married Mary Green on August 16, 1953 in Eden, Texas. Five years later, Bill and Mary had their only child Lyn in Abilene, Texas.
Bill is survived by his wife Mary of Odessa; his daughter Lyn Roberts and her husband Doug of Odessa; his granddaughter Jennifer Ross and her husband Jonathan of Spring, Texas, and a great grandson due in June; his granddaughter Laura Roberts of Abilene, Texas; his sister Bobbie Jo Peterson and husband Don of Loving, Texas; two nieces, Donnett Peterson Wiley and husband Jimmy and their sons Pete & Pal; Tiffany Peterson Stone and her children Lacey Duke & Bobby Stone, and two nephews, Joe Green and Ray Green.
He was preceded in death by his father Ed Wright and his mother and stepfather Lena and Raymond Andrews.
He enjoyed an active lifestyle including: travel, exercise at MCH Cardiac Rehab, story-telling, sports, times of worship with his church family at Sixth and Jackson Church Of Christ. He loved and appreciated time spent with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Sixth & Jackson Church of Christ with Roy Smalling officiating. Burial will be at Loving Community Cemetery in Young County at 6:30 p.m. that evening.
Pallbearers are Richard Williams, Tom Williams, Mark Solari, Gary Armstrong, Fred Petty, Charles Reeves and Tom Kennedy.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Services were held Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at 10am at the Church of Christ in Odessa with Roy Smalling officiating. Burial will be at Loving Community Cemetery in Young County at 6:30 p.m. that evening; under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born to Ed and Lena Ellis of Olney. He was a member of the Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ in Odessa. He married Mary Green on August 16, 1953 in Eden, Texas.
