My grandfather's uncle - he remembered him as someone who wanted kids but his wife was "sickly" and died young. He remarried a Katherine Heeringa but that ended in divorce. He bought my grandpa his first bike and used to take him to the old armory at Division/Michigan to the amateur fights.
