Harry I Morgan
May 5, 1932 - December 11, 2014

Harry I. Morgan, passed away Dec. 11, 2014 in Terrell. Harry was born May 5, 1932 in Dallas, TX to James and Emmaline Morgan, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Morgan; brothers, James and J.P. Morgan; sisters: Tody, Tulsa, Marie Boles and Dena.

Harry grew up and lived most of his life in the Dallas and Oak Cliff area and he served honorably in the Korean War with the US Army. After his discharge from the Army, he worked for several transport companies driving trucks until his retirement from Jorgensen Steel. Harry loved to talk to others and there was not ever a time that several of his friends weren’t gathered around swapping stories with each other, each one more ‘believable’ than the last! He also loved to fish and spent many happy hours on, and around, the lake fishing and visiting. Family was important to Harry and he made sure each one of his family members knew how much he cared for them.

Harry is survived by his children: Lana Orman and husband, Charles, of Rosser, Virgil McMahen and wife, Carlene of Garland, Ronnie McMahen and wife, Carolyn of Rockwall, Keith Morgan and wife, Tina of Crandall; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Oakland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Monday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home.
