Luvern "L.T." Anderson, 88, of Aurora, died Saturday evening April 15, 2006 at the Aurora Rehabilitation and Living Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church at the corner of Galena and Edgelawn in Aurora with Rev. Wayne Miller officiating. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Saratoga Cemetery in Morris. Military rites will be conducted by the Morris Color Guard. Visitation will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
Born April 18, 1917 in Easton, Minnesota, he was the son of Lewis and Bertha (Sorem) Anderson. He graduated from Wright Junior College in Chicago on April 18, 1947. He married Georgene Nelson at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris. For most of their married life they lived in Chicago and Aurora. For 41 years he was an insurance agent for Preferred Risk Life Insurance Company. He was a veteran of W.W.II, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1946.
Survivors are his wife, Georgene of Aurora; one son, Bruce Anderson of Minneapolis, MN; one daughter, Cheryl (Scott) Daumheimer of Midland, Michigan; three grandchildren, Allison (Brian) Fentke of Ada, Michigan, Stephan and Gretchen Daumheimer both of Midland, Michigan; one great-granddaughter, Kirsten Fentke at home; one brother, Archie Anderson of Morris; one sister-in-law, Thelma Anderson of Rochester, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Dean in infancy; two sisters, Luella Thompson and Gladys Zahrobski; and four brothers, Irvin, Alvin, Leroy and Arnold Anderson.
He was a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Gideon's International, Lutherdale Bible Camp and Fox Valley Hospice.
