William Lars Madsen

William L. Madsen, 48, prominent wool grower and farmer, died at his home of a heart attack.


Mr. Madsen was born in Mt. Pleasant, July 7, 1882 the only son of Lars P. and Sophia Rasmussen Madsen. He married Miss Marie Petersen of Mt. Pleasant at the Manti temple, December 14, 1904. He was a member of the stake high council for many years, and from 1910 to 1912 was in the north-western states mission. He was active in civic and community affairs, serving as city councilman from 1921 to 1939, for the last three years being chairman of the conveyance committee for the old folks' party.
