Myrtle Joy Harris, 62, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at her home.

Mrs. Harris was born May 3, 1952, in Prescott, Ark. She was a homemaker and a deaconess and member of St. John Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Otis Harris of Texarkana; one son, Ramon Everett Nash of Texarkana; one stepson, Elmer Beasley of Texarkana; one daughter, Shawanna Nash Henry of Texarkana; four stepdaughters, Natasha Jones of Orlando and Jackie Beasley, Lacita Rhone and Stephanie Rhone of Texarkana; two brothers, Carl Burton of Little Rock and Glenn Burton of Prescott; three sisters, Gracie Arnold and Deborah Armstrong of Texarkana and Gennetta Yarbrough of Prescott, Ark.; one uncle; three aunts; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lonoke Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Harris officiating. Burial will be in Amie Cemetery under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
